12/16/09 When former Victor Councilmember Byron "Buck" Hakes ran unopposed for mayor it left his Ward 1 seat up for grabs. As one of its last acts of 2009, Victor City Council appointed former Councilmember Don Daniel, who declined to run for re-election, to fill out the rest of Hakes' term. He will serve for two years.
