07/08/11 The Kay County District Attorney's Office, U.S. Marshal's Fugitive Warrant Squad, Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics and Dangerous Drugs and the Ponca City, Tonkawa and Blackwell Police Departments began serving arrest warrants just after 6 a.m. Wednesday morning.
07/05/11 Don and Linda Stephens celebrated their 50th anniversary with a family trip to the Broadmoor Resort in Colorado Springs, Colo. Don and the former Linda Jackson were married July 2, 1961 at the First Christian Church in Ponca City. The couple met while he was a student at the University of Missouri and she was attending Stephens College for Women, both in Columbia, Mo.
07/05/11 Lindsey Mayse, of Ponca City, and Mitch Matthiesen, of Bartlesville, exchanged vows of marriage in a 6:30 p.m. ceremony on May 14, 2011 in the arbor at Post Oak Lodge, Tulsa. The Rev. Mike Smith, pastor of First United Methodist Church of Ponca City, officiated the double-ring ceremony.
07/03/11 An Oklahoma State Championship qualifying tournament sponsored by the Professional Putters Association was held recently in Ponca City. At the Putt-Putt golf course, David Chisum of Austin, Texas was the winner of the professional division with a score of 266 for the nine-round event.
06/30/11 Oklahoma Blood Institute is teaming up with the Ponca City community to boost the summer blood supply. All healthy Ponca City-area residents, 16 and older*, are encouraged to donate blood 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday, July 1, at the Ponca City Donor Center, 518 North Fourteenth Street.

06/27/11 New fare rates are coming for Cimarron Public Transit riders. Effective August 1, all trips within the city limits of Ponca City will be $2.00. Road to Work riders who update their eligibility, will be able to get to and from work destinations for $1.00.
