12/03/10 SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (AP) - Prosecutors say a woman charged with murdering her husband at their New Underwood home shot him twice in the head over a six-hour period and staged a suicide scene.
02/04/10 Verizon Wireless said Thursday that it has recently activated new cell sites built in 2009 in seven South Dakota communities, including New Underwood and Philip, to enhance the coverage and capacity of its voice and 3G high-speed wireless network. 10/22/09 A western South Dakota rancher is tallying his losses after some of his cattle escaped a fence and ended up on Interstate 90 near New Underwood. Nine young cattle were hit Tuesday night by vehicles. One driver was treated at a hospital and released.

10/01/09 Lt. Col. James Selchert, New Underwood, will take command of the 82nd Civil Support Team, South Dakota Army National Guard, during a change of command ceremony at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 3 at the Range Road Armory in Rapid City. Selchert will take over the responsibilities from former commander Maj. John Emick of Piedmont.
