Coach Mazzaferro leaves lasting legacy

02/26/11 GROTON - After four-plus decades patrolling the hardwood, local coaching legend Ron Mazzaferro will retire at the end of the season from the Groton School, where he has coached for eight years. Highly regarded for his emphasis on fundamentals, Mazzaferro will end a 41-year coaching career that began at Murdock High.
