07/17/11 Since 1948, the Craft Fair of the Southern Highlands has set the standard for fine craft shows across the country. The tradition continues this year July 21-24 in Asheville. More than 200 craftspeople fill two levels of the Civic Center selling their works of clay, glass, leather, metal, fiber, mixed media, natural materials, paper, wood and jewelry.

07/14/11 Colton Mayor David R. Zamora died suddenly Thursday, leaving city and regional officials mourning the loss of a man they called a unifying force and forward-looking leader. Mr. Zamora, who spent nearly three decades on Colton's city payroll and was a 13-year Colton school board member, died about 45 minutes after suffering an apparent heart attack while driving from his home to the Civic Center.
