Agencies low on blood supplies

01/12/10 By Bernie Delinski, Staff Writer The American Red Cross declared Monday there is a major need for donations of Type O-negative and Type B-negative blood. Evan Duffy, communications manager for Alabama and Central Gulf Coast Biomedical Services, said amounts have dipped to "emergency levels" for the blood types.

Red Cross asking for needed blood

01/11/10 Following the bad weather felt across the country in the past week, blood supplies have decreased to drastically low amounts in the Alabama and Central Gulf Coast Region, which encompasses the Selma area.
