07/19/11 The local Southern NH Blue team, managed by Dee Nye, finished second in the New Hampshire Babe Ruth 14U state tournament hosted by Timberlane High School over the weekend. The SNH Blue team dominated pool play by defeating Dover Attack 18-0 and Lamprey River 15-3 in just 5 innings of play during each game.
07/19/11 The Salem U10 Junior Blue Devils won the Babe Ruth District championship the weekend before last on their home field. They competed for the state championship last weekend in Londonderry and finished second, losing to Londonderry in the championship game after winning their pool.

07/18/11 The Lou Gehrig 11-under Red team won the Western New York State Cal Ripken and Babe Ruth Championship Tournament in Jamestown on Sunday. The team advanced to the Mid-Atlantic Regional in Warrington, Pa., on Aug. 6-10. The team went 4-0 and outscored opponents, 44-9.

07/18/11 The Tallahassee Babe Ruth 15U team rolled past its two opponents and to a state title on Sunday in Live Oak. Tallahassee defeated Jacksonville Beach 5-1 in the semifinals and then beat Suwannee 13-3 in the finals.

07/16/11 BASEBALL Babe Ruth Nashua 13s fall in district final Manchester had to win twice against the Nashua U13 All Stars, and it did just that in the district final. Nashua defeated both Manchester and Salem earlier in the tournament behind the pitching of Sam McCarthy and Mike Kernan. Offensively the 13s were sparked by Chris Cruz and Kernan.
