06/20/11 THURSTON COUNTY, Wash. - An 83-year-old woman died Monday afternoon in a crash on Yelm Highway in rural Thurston County. A 29-year-old man caused the accident when he pulled into traffic off Walden Drive, heading the wrong direction, Guy Gill with the Washington State Patrol said. Troopers do not believe the man was impaired, but they are still trying to determine the cause of the crash.
06/18/11 A Yelm woman was arrested Friday after a 1993 Toyota Camry she drove lurched out of control and crashed on Interstate 5, causing one of three passengers to suffer a broken neck, officials say. Donelda M. Hayes, 40, was being held without bail in the Clark County Jail on suspicion of vehicular assault, a jail officer said. She is to make a first court appearance Monday morning.
