Polk Soldiers conduct Security Force Assistance Brigade training

07/09/11 Soldiers from C Company, 1st Battalion, 353rd Infantry Regiment, 162nd Infantry Brigade, conducted scenario training June 1 for their upcoming mission to Fort Bliss, Texas. The training includes a review of six scenarios that will be conducted during the Security Force Assistance Brigade training.

07/11/11 The 23rd Ohio Volunteer Infantry Regiment was organized in Columbus, beginning on June 1, 1861. The regiment was the first in Ohio to be created for three years service. Previous regiments had been organized for three months service.
