 01/26/10 Hazel Jean Stull passed away with family at her side on January 16, 2010, after battling with cancer for nearly one year. Hazel was known to all by her middle name, Jean. She was born on October 1, 1935, in Wenatchee, WA to John and Irene Denton and was one of six children.
 01/21/10 As expected, today the House Public Safety and Emergency Preparedness Committee did vote down legislation to legalize use of marijuana by adults. The panel also rejected a bill to reduce penalties for adults caught possessing a small amount of dope.
 01/21/10 If marijuana use is going to be legalized in Washington this year, voters will have to do it because legislators won't. Rep. Chris Hurst, chariman of the public safety panel, told me there are not enough votes to move either bill out of committee.
