Other news05/14/11 22: The number of runs Limestone has against Mid-Illini Conference leader East Peoria in two baseball games this spring. The Rockets won both games by 11-1 scores and have accounted for the only two M-I defeats for the Raiders to date.
05/17/11 There was a fiesta after Brianna Mormann hit a walk-off home run Tuesday at Morton. Her two-run blast lifted the Morton softbal team to a 3-2 Mid-Illini Conference win over Canton. The Potters (14-10, 8-5) then followed the victory with Mexican food to celebrate Senior Night honoring Catherine Drew and Kellie Elbert.
06/05/11 East Peoria ended the season as runner-up in the Mid-Illini Conference baseball race. But that did not stop the Raiders from landing six players on the first-team all-conference squad. League champion Pekin (11-3, 20-10) placed three players on the first team. A pair of Limestone players and one each from Dunlap and Washington rounded out the 13-player first-team roster.
