Corps of Engineers Starts Restoration of Fremont Cut Colonnade

03/01/10 The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Seattle District, will proceed with phase two of restoration work March 3 along the Fremont Cut of the Lake Washington Ship Canal in Seattle. Phase two includes removing 29 poplar trees in the historic colonnade and planting 40. Eight existing young trees will be retained.
