Hobbs appointed chairman of House panel on insurance policy

01/09/10 JEFFERSON CITY — House Speaker Ron Richard has announced the appointment of state Rep. Steve Hobbs, R-Mexico, as the new chairman of the House Insurance Policy Committee. Hobbs succeeds former Rep. Brian Yates, R-Lee’s Summit, who resigned late last year to take a job with the payday loan industry.
