Cruiser situation dire at sheriff's office

02/03/11 Huron County Sheriff Dane Howard knew this would happen sooner or later. On Monday, after receiving a call for a domestic violence situation on Ohio 60 between Wakeman and New London, Deputy John Harris could not respond as the cruiser he was operating completely shutdown.

Grant County Sheriff's Deputy Injured In Collision

03/10/11 EPHRATA, Wash. - A Grant County Sheriff's Deputy escaped serious injury after his vehicle collided with a light pole late Wednesday night. Deputy John McMillan, age 40 of Ephrata, was enroute to a report of a domestic disturbance around 11:30 p.m. involving a person chasing others with a shovel. McMillan was traveling southbound on State Route 17 approaching Grape Drive in Moses Lake.

Deputy to be honored at funeral

07/08/11 Hernando County Deputy John Mecklenburg will be honored during a funeral mass this morning at 11 a.m. at St. Francis Cabrini Catholic Church in Spring Hill.
