04/23/11 The Brookings-Harbor School Board approved as many as 17 pink slips for district employees for the 2011-12 school year. However, it is too early to tell which employees will be laid off and their names will not be released until they are notified. The approved layoffs include eight teachers, eight non-teaching positions, and an administrator, Superintendent Brian Hodge said.
05/25/11 John Leroy Garner, 64, former superintendent of schools at Brookings-Harbor School District, died at his home in Kimberly, Idaho, early Tuesday morning.
