Special session opens to end Minnesota shutdown

Vikings "assessing options" with no special legislative session in sight

07/20/11 Minnesota Gov. Mark Dayton says a special legislative session for a new Vikings stadium is "not ready to be considered at this point."  Vikings vice president for public affairs and stadium development Lester Bagley says the team is "assessing" options.

Minnesota Moves Toward Approving Budget Deal

07/20/11 Called to start a special session on Tuesday afternoon, the state House and Senate by early Wednesday had approved eight of 12 bills needed to wrap up a deal brokered by Democratic Governor Mark Dayton and Republican leaders.
