Velma came west with her parents, James Ray and May (Mansbridge) Merrill, and three month old brother, Harold, to Ellisforde, north of Tonasket, in 1919.

    Omak places fourth in state trapshooting

    04/22/10 OMAK - The high school FFA trapshooting No. 1 team placed fourth out of 43 teams at the State FFA Invitational Trapshoot in Wenatchee April 16-17. More than 200 shooters competed.     Ruby Ruth Wiltz

    04/10/10 Ruby Ruth Wiltz, 99, a lifelong resident of Washington, passed away in Walla Walla, WA. Ruby was born in Molson, WA, the fourth of 14 children. She grew up and attended school in Chesaw and Molson. In 1929, she married George H. Wiltz in Greenwood, Canada and began ranching south of Chesaw.
