06/22/11 KNOTTS ISLAND, N.C. A 16-year-old Knotts Island girl has been charged in the stabbing death of her newborn baby girl. The Currituck County Sheriff's Office received a call June 17 from Chesapeake police that a girl at Chesapeake Regional Medical Center reported giving birth and leaving the dead child in her bedroom closet, Currituck Sheriff Susan Johnson wrote in a news release.
