Cooler temperatures help firefighters on the Hilltop fire

08/19/10 Aided by cooler temperatures Wednesday, firefighters continued to battle a blaze east of Hockinson. Mop-up operations on the east flank of the Hilltop fire included extinguishing hot spots, burning stumps and glowing embers within 200 feet of the fire line, according to a bulletin from the Washington Department of Natural Resources.
