06/18/11 George Caspermeyer's bank account is a little thinner these days. Caspermeyer is the grandfather to Quincy Notre Dame twins Kelsey and Brandon Ley, and he made a deal with his grandkids prior to their senior softball and baseball seasons.

07/12/11 BASEBALL   Dylan Van Fleet, Illini West catcher/pitcher (Quincy Herald-Whig Player of the Year, Journal Star all-area honorable mention, batted .491 with 11 homers and 42 RBIs, went 9-2 with a 2.53 ERA and 72 strikeouts in 53 innings), signed with Illinois Central College.
