10/23/09 AARP Virginia and nearly 100 Ruritan clubs are joining together today for a one-day, statewide food drive. In Hampton Roads, volunteers will collect nonperishable foods at a dozen Ruritan club buildings and other sites. Donations will go to local food banks. "The food that people donate will stay in that community," said Ginger Thompson McDaniel, AARP Virginia spokeswoman. ____
