    06/20/11 Veronica Sturman, a homeschooled pupil from Natchitoches, won the second-place art award of the Louisiana Ninth Environmental Awareness Student Art and Language Arts Contest. Sturman won in the 8-10-age category and was awarded $100. Sturman and other student winners will be honored during a reception set for Wednesday at the Governor's Mansion.
