Other news01/25/10 Some nonprofit groups in Summit County could lose about $1.5 million each year if state lawmakers vote to eliminate the Restaurant Tax. For several years counties in Utah have been allowed to add a 1-percent tax to restaurant checks for sales of prepared food.
05/12/11 The Cache County Council has awarded this year's RAPZ/Restaurant Tax dollars amid fierce competition for the funding.
05/19/11 It shows up every time we dine out in Omaha...an occupation tax...otherwise knows as the Restaurant Tax. It's 2.5% on all sales. The Omaha Restaurant Association filed an appeal in state court to overturn a ruling by a lower court saying the city could impose that tax.
