Long Plain celebrates eldest elder

06/13/10 Long Plain First Nation came together on Sunday to pay tribute to the reserve's eldest elder. Jean Meeches, who turned 99 on June 8, was honoured with a banquet dinner, a special speech, prayer and music, including a drum song.

14 charges after suspect found with stolen vehicle

11/16/10 It'll be a Nov. 11 to remember for a man now facing 14 charges in the RM of Portage la Prairie. At about 11:45 a.m. on that Thursday, Central Plains RCMP received a report of an attempted theft of an off road vehicle at Long Plain First Nation.
