Fire departments will face off in game to fight breast cancer: A Place in the Sun

07/14/11 The Avon and Avon Lake police and fire departments will face off for the third annual Breast Cancer Charity Softball Game on July 23 at All Pro Freight Stadium in Avon.

07/15/11 More than 2,000 people participated in the annual Avon Walk for Breast Cancer July 9-10. It began and ended at Fort Mason in San Francisco. The entire walk covered 39.3 miles, many of which were in Marin, and raised $4.2 million for treatment for the poor, free checkups and breast cancer research.
