TGCA softball poll

04/12/11 Callisburg and Tom Bean rose in the softball rankings by the Texas Girls Coaches Association. The Lady Wildcats (23-6) improved one to No. 22 in 2A and Tom Bean (18-5) rejoined the poll at No. 24 while Gunter inched closer with an honorable mention.

Area baseball, softball results

05/15/11   ...and then there were two The Brock Eagles shrugged aside Tom Bean on Friday, sweeping a doubleheader in Grapevine. The back-to-back games were prompted by Thursdays rain-out.  The Lady Eagles, a day after a shocking  extra-inning loss, were blanked by City View, 2-0, behind the arm of Burkeburnett transplant Ciara Clampitt, who joined the Lady Mustangs in April.

Hill earns 3rd-team 2A all-state honors

07/07/11 Tom Bean junior catcher Travis Hill led several area 2A selections on the Texas Sports Writers Association all-state teams. Hill was a third team selection while classmate Johnny Johnson was an honorable mention selection at pitcher.
