04/28/11 City Council Place 4 incumbent candidate Dick Smith and his wife Janet moved to Celina in 1998 from Duncanville. His employer moved offices from Las Colinas to Addison so the drive became impossible. He and Janet decided to move to Celina.
04/28/11 Cheryl Winger is running for the Celina city council in Place 5. She and her husband John moved to Celina 11 years ago. They have been married 35 years and two grown sons, a daughter-in-law and grandson that all live in nearby cities.

03/26/11 The Celina Fire Department has put a new ambulance on the road. At Monday's regular council meeting CoServ Charitable Foundation Executive Director Dennis Engelke presented a check to Mayor Jim Lewis and Fire Chief Mark Metdker for a grant for $25,500 to be used for the ambulance.
