MP Chapel Hill's Clower player of the week

09/21/09 The Mount Pleasant Chapel Hill Lady Bulldogs are still perfect in District 17-2A play after posting wins over Linden-Kildare (Sept. 15) and Jefferson (Sept. 19). Cheyenne Clower came up huge at the net in both matches, combining for 33 kills and earning Player of the Week honors from the Longview News-Journal.

ASP Westward agrees to purchase Marshall, Longview papers

09/30/09 Cox Enterprises, the parent company of The Marshall News Messenger and Longview News-Journal, on Wednesday announced it has reached a definitive agreement to sell the two newspapers to Houston-based ASP Westward, upping the company's East Texas presence.

Longview, Marshall newspapers acquired by ASP Westward

10/05/09 Cox Enterprises, Inc. announced today it has reached a definitive agreement to sell two of its Texas newspapers, the Longview News-Journal (Longview) and The Marshall News Messenger (Marshall and Harrison County), to ASP Westward, L.P. The transaction is expected to close in the upcoming weeks.
