Big shoes to fill

08/25/10 A pair of Big Northern Conference East Division rivals are set to begin new eras after the departure of superstar talent. Burlington Central had to say goodbye to Stephanie Holthus, the reigning two-time Courier-News Player of the Year, as well as her all-area cohort Taylor Scully. Hampshire, meanwhile, witnessed the departure of sister stalwarts Kara and Amy Wehrs.

Dedication pays off for Chelsea Willis

06/28/11 Schlarman senior Chelsea Willis is the 2011 Commercial-News Player of the Year after batting .533 with 18 doubles, 1 triple, 5 home runs and 69 RBIs in helping the Hilltoppers finish second in the IHSA Class 1A State Tournament.
