Police jury continues to pave way for oil and gas exploration

06/20/11 In a move that foreshadows increased activity by oil and gas companies in Vernon Parish, the Vernon Parish Police Jury voted unanimously Monday to pass an ordinance revision to require permits for pipeline crossings, dredging and oil, gas and mineral exploration and production to require driveways leading to and from oil and gas well sites to be paved.
