05/19/11 In Hale County, a fire displaced two families Thursday afternoon. Flames broke out around 3:00 p.m. at a home near East 5th and Avenue F. Crews from Petersburg, Abernathy, Idalou, New Deal, and West Carlisle fought to contain the fire from spreading to other homes.
