    Blotter: Firefighting agencies combine forces to douse 375-acre blaze

    08/16/09 About 375 acres of grass caught fire near the northwest intersection of Hawkeye Road and FM2450 in Denton County on Saturday. No structures sustained fire damage, but several buildings, including an airplane hangar, were threatened by the flames, said Battalion Chief Ken Gold of the Denton Fire Department.
