Todd Engle: Covering high school sports a labor of love

08/11/09 The State Journal-Register's newest sportswriter arrived in central Illinois in 2003, about 18 months removed from college and thinking he had a good sense of what high school sports were all about. Football was football. Basketball was basketball. Some teams would be great, others not so much. They play the games, he writes the stories.
