Victoria East High School Wind Ensemble advances to state finals

06/25/11 The Victoria East High School Wind Ensemble advanced to the State Finals of the Texas 4A State Honor Band Competition - the first time in at least 25 years a Victoria band has done so.

Johns approved as East High principal

07/12/11 The Des Moines school board has approved the district's recommendation of a man with ties to the district's superintendent to become East High School principal. Board member Teree Caldwell-Johnson abstained from the vote.
