 01/16/10 Watertown shot 57 percent from the field to roll past O'Gorman 69-56 on Friday night in Watertown. Ryan Engels scored 14 points, Kirk Gilbertson and Levi Winkels 12 each and Steven Heesch 11 for the Arrows (4-2). For O'Gorman, Alex Robey and Sterling Nielsen each scored 20 points.
 01/12/10 Sioux Falls Christian shot 64.7 percent from the field in the second half to defeat Elk Point-Jefferson 74-56 in the championship game of the Big Sioux Conference boys basketball tournament Monday in Elk Point. The top-ranked Class A Chargers led 28-26 at halftime. Matt VandeKamp led SFC (6-0) with 25 points, 13 rebounds, seven assists and six steals. Christian Skinner had 13 points.

 10/27/09 Defense - Vince Martinez (Doane). The sophomore safety from El Paso, Texas, had two interceptions in the Tigers' 24-12 win at home against Dordt. One of his interceptions he returned a conference-record 100 yards for a TD. Another pick he ran back 69 yards, setting up a Doane score.
 10/26/09 SOUTH DAKOTA DEF. NEW JERSEY TECH 18-25, 25-21, 25-16, 23-25, 15-12 in Vermillion - Kristen Kritenbrnk had 20 kills and sophomore Tahnee Reed added a career-high 17 for the Coyotes, who have won six of their last seven matches. Bailey Reshel had 13 kills.
 10/18/09 The Stampede let a 2-0 lead slip away late in the third period and fell 3-2 in a shootout to the Green Bay Gamblers on Saturday night before a crowd of 3,047 at the Arena. The Stampede (4-0-2) are the only U.S. Hockey League team still undefeated in regulation play. Michael Voran and Richard Coyne each scored first-period goals for the Stampede. It was the first career USHL goal for each.
