06/28/11 Sylvia Irene Hahn, 92, a long-time Hood River resident, died June 12, 2011 at Brookside Manor where she had lived for the past five years. A service to honor and remember Sylvia was held Tuesday, June 21 at Riverside Community Church at 4th Street and State Street in Hood River.

Lompoc eliminates Santa Maria No. 2

07/08/11 Lompoc pitcher Jimmy Martinez came two steps away from a no-hitter, while his offense provided a lot of good base running and timely hitting in a 12-0 win over Santa Maria Team 2 in the Babe Ruth, District 6, State Qualifying Tournament, played Thursday night at Porter Field in Arroyo Grande.
