Police try to determine how motorcyclist died

07/09/11 Police worked Friday to reconstruct an accident that killed a Dell Rapids motorcyclist and was witnessed by law enforcement. Alcohol, drugs and excessive speeds do not appear to have been a factor in the crash Thursday, said Lt. Jerome Miller of the Sioux Falls Police Department. The motorcyclist was struck by a turning vehicle and killed. The motorcyclist was not wearing a helmet, Miller said.

07/08/11 A Dell Rapids man is dead after his motorcycle collided with a car in Sioux Falls last night. Investigators are still trying to determine the factors of the case but police say Michael John Hyatt was not wearing a helmet.

Quick recovery for Dell Rapids golf course

07/17/11 While these temperatures are extreme, workers who run a Dell Rapids golf course are thankful there's no rain for now. Earlier this month, the Rocky Run Golf Course sustained water damage after heavy rains fell leaving several holes under water and debris scattered around the area.
