02/27/11 The Newman Comets celebrate Saturday night after receiving their Class 1A state championship trophy at the state dual team tournament at U.S. Cellular Coliseum in Bloomington. The Comets won three matches Saturday, including a 40-32 victory against Stillman Valley for the state title. ( ())

Athlete of the Week: Genoa-Kingston's Ashley Miller

04/13/11 A nine-inning complete game, 11 strikeouts, three hits at the plate, and most importantly the win.  Things couldn't have gone much better for Genoa-Kingston's Ashley Miller on Tuesday night against Stillman Valley.
