Medical copter crash kills crew

09/27/09 Late Friday, after flying a patient to a hospital in Charleston, the three-person crew of the Carolina Lifecare medical helicopter began the 95-mile trek back to its Conway base. But just after 11 p.m., something went wrong. A mile shy of the Georgetown County Airport, the helicopter fell nose first from the sky and crashed into a wooded area, creating a small crater and fueling a blistering fire.
