Trial set for Holland; legal re-election status likely 'safe'

02/02/11 A tentative trial date of May 12 has been set for Arkansas Sen. Bruce Holland, R-Greenwood, who faces a misdemeanor charge of fleeing and charges of careless driving and improper passing related to a high-speed chase through Perry and Yell counties.

William Bird named to Ethics Commission

04/18/11 Lt. Gov. Mark Darr has named North Little Rock lawyer William Bird to fill an unexpired term on the state Ethics Commission. He replaces David Cook, who was appointed shortly before Lt. Gov.
