Woman focuses love of animals into a rescue mission

07/14/11 The phone rang at 9 p.m., and Amy Jo Edwards prepared to learn another harsh lesson. A person called to alert her that two dogs had been thrown from a vehicle. One had been hit by a car and died. The other, a Jack Russell terrier, remained by the roadway, suffering.
