Cal U Roundtable explores Civil War's deep impact

07/09/11 Gloria Swift, a National Park Service ranger and guest speaker at the California University Civil War Roundtable scheduled for Thursday, has an extensive background in military history, especially the Civil War, and will present the program "A President Murdered ... A Nation in Mourning," will review the assassination of President Abraham Lincoln.

Green on all-state track team

07/16/11 Two-time PIAA state champion Matt Green from Belle Vernon Area High School was the only WPIAL male athlete to be named to the Pennsylvania Track and Field Coaches Association Outdoor All-State Team.
