County Commission will vote on Senate appointment Wednesday

07/15/11 Kitsap County commissioners expect to appoint a state senator Wednesday. Rep. Christine Rolfes, D-Bainbridge, is the top choice of county precinct committee officers to succeed Phil Rockefeller, who resigned to accept appointment by Gov. Chris Gregoire to the Northwest Power and Conservation Council.

GA's Joyce Turner to lead new Enterprise Services agency

07/15/11 Gov. Chris Gregoire announced today that former aide Joyce Turner will oversee the state-agency restructuring effort that is merging five agencies into three. The moves eliminate four agencies but also create a new Department of Enterprise Services and a new Consolidated Technology Services.
