UConn Women Game 2: Baylor Provides A Scare

07/12/11 Before last season began, the popular opinion was that the UConn women would extend their winning streak to 79 games by beating Holy Cross, which they did, then have significant trouble against another 2010 Final Four alum, Baylor, in Game 2 at the XL Center.

Edward W. Schwarz

07/14/11 Edward W. Schwarz, 82, of Westport, died July 12. Born in Stuttgart, Germany, he came to the United States in 1940 with his parents, Eugene and Annie Schwarz . He attended Erasmus High School and graduated with a BS in engineering from Lafayette College . He was a veteran of the Korean War.

Whittet Announces 2011-12 Schedule

07/18/11 Brown men's hockey head coach Brendan Whittet has announced the Bears 2011-12 schedule, which features a challenging non-league portion in addition to the 22 games against ECAC Hockey opponents. The Bears renew old rivalries with Army and Holy Cross this year and also face several familiar non-league opponents.
