Sen. Fred Quayle named Suffolk first citizen

03/09/11 SUFFOLK Longtime Sen. Fred Quayle has been named Suffolk's First Citizen. Quayle, 75, has been a member of the state Senate since he was elected in 1992. A retired lawyer, Quayle is a Suffolk native, a graduate of the University of Virginia and the University of Richmond Law School. He lives in the Riverview community, near downtown Suffolk.
