06/19/11 Two Alden residents died in a motorcycle crash early Sunday morning in the Town of Wales, the Erie County Sheriff's Office has reported. The Accident Investigation unit is investigating the deaths of 29-year-old Christopher Marchewka and 29-year-old Maureen O'Grady, who were found dead at the scene of the crash, near the intersection of Big Tree Road (Route 20A) and Woodchuck Road.

06/01/11 Three men were taken into police custody following a report of a robbery attempt at Citizens Bank in East Aurora. Around 12:35 p.m. on Fri., May 27, the East Aurora Police Department received a report that a black man had entered the bank at 212 Main Street and shown a teller a note claiming that he had a gun. No gun was shown, and the man fled the bank without getting any money.
