    07/24/10 Volunteers rescued bird from sludge in sewage pond A wildlife volunteer had a smelly ride up the Oregon coast with a sewage covered eagle in her lap. Volunteers from the Wildlife Center of the North Coast and Nehalem Sewage Plant employees rescued a 1 year old female Bald Eagle that had become mired in about a foot of "sludge" in one of their drained sewage ponds.
