01/21/11 Around 200 people filled the seats and lined the walls of the Northern Great Lakes Visitor Center in Ashland as presenters with the Wisconsin Geological Survey, Gogebic Taconite, Ashland Area Development Corporation, Iron County Development Zone and Red Cliff tribe spoke about the mining process, regulations, history, economic, environmental and cultural impacts regarding the proposed iron mine.
