Other news07/15/11 DOWNTOWN LOS ANGELES - The effort to reopen the Hall of Justice is finally moving forward. The County Board of Supervisors last week unanimously approved a $231 million upgrade of the Civic Center landmark, putting an end to a protest from a losing bidder.
07/17/11 Since 1948, the Craft Fair of the Southern Highlands has set the standard for fine craft shows across the country. The tradition continues this year July 21-24 in Asheville. More than 200 craftspeople fill two levels of the Civic Center selling their works of clay, glass, leather, metal, fiber, mixed media, natural materials, paper, wood and jewelry.
