Sulphur native appointed superintendent in Virginia school district

06/20/11 Sulphur native A. Katrise Lee Perera has been appointed as the new division superintendent for Isle of Wight County Schools in Virginia. Perera, a Houston Independent School District (HISD) School Improvement Officer, will replace Dr. Michael McPherson, who is retiring at the end of June.

Summer break is over; Bunkie pupils head back to class
